Getting Started

EduConnect Uganda is a digital platform that connects parents and guardians with schools across Uganda. We simplify the school discovery and application process by allowing you to:

  • Browse and compare schools based on location, fees, and performance
  • Submit applications to multiple schools online
  • Track application status in real-time
  • Make secure fee payments via mobile money

Creating an account is quick and free:

  1. Click the "Sign Up" button on the homepage
  2. Enter your name, email address, and phone number
  3. Create a secure password
  4. Verify your email or phone number
  5. Complete your guardian profile

Once registered, you can start browsing schools and submitting applications immediately.

Yes! Creating an account and browsing schools is completely free. You only pay when you:

  • Submit an application (application fees vary by school)
  • Pay school fees through our platform

All fees are transparently displayed before you make any payment.

School Applications

Applying to a school is simple:

  1. Find a school using our search or browse features
  2. Click "Apply Now" on the school's profile
  3. Add your student's details (or select an existing student)
  4. Fill in the required application information
  5. Upload any required documents
  6. Pay the application fee
  7. Submit your application

Yes! You can apply to as many schools as you like. Each application is independent, allowing you to increase your chances of securing a place at a preferred school.

💡 Tip: We recommend applying to 3-5 schools to maximize your options while managing application costs.

Required documents vary by school, but typically include:

  • Student's birth certificate
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Previous school reports/transcripts
  • Transfer letter (if applicable)
  • Medical records or immunization card
  • Parent/Guardian National ID

Each school's specific requirements are shown during the application process.

You can track all your applications from your dashboard:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to "My Applications"
  3. View the status of each application

Application statuses include:

  • Pending - Awaiting school review
  • Under Review - Being processed
  • Accepted - Congratulations!
  • Not Successful - Not admitted this time

You'll also receive SMS and email notifications when your status changes.

Once submitted, applications cannot be directly edited. However, you can:

  • Contact the school through the platform to request corrections
  • Upload additional documents if the school requests them
  • Withdraw the application and submit a new one (application fee may apply again)

We recommend reviewing all information carefully before submitting.

Payments & Fees

We support multiple payment methods for your convenience:

  • Mobile Money: MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money
  • Bank Transfer: Direct bank deposits
  • Card Payments: Visa and Mastercard (coming soon)

All payments are processed securely through licensed payment providers.

Application fees are generally non-refundable once the application has been submitted, as they cover the administrative cost of processing your application.

However, refunds may be considered if:

  • Payment was made but application wasn't successfully submitted due to a technical error
  • Duplicate payment was made accidentally

Contact our support team within 48 hours for refund requests.

Once your child is enrolled at a partner school, you can pay fees directly:

  1. Go to your dashboard and select the enrolled student
  2. Click on "Pay Fees"
  3. Select the term and fee items to pay
  4. Choose your payment method
  5. Complete the payment

You'll receive an instant receipt, and the school is notified automatically.

Absolutely. We take security seriously:

  • All transactions are encrypted using SSL/TLS
  • We never store your mobile money PIN or card details
  • Payments are processed by licensed, PCI-compliant providers
  • You receive instant confirmation for every transaction

For Schools

We welcome schools across Uganda to join our platform:

  1. Click "List Your School" in the navigation menu
  2. Complete the school registration form
  3. Submit your school's verification documents
  4. Our team will review and verify your school
  5. Once approved, your school goes live on the platform

Verification typically takes 3-5 business days.

Account & Security

Resetting your password is easy:

  1. Click "Login" on the homepage
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your registered email or phone number
  4. Check your email/SMS for the reset link
  5. Create a new password

If you don't receive the reset link within 5 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support.

To update your profile:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click on your name/avatar in the top right
  3. Select "Profile Settings"
  4. Update your information
  5. Click "Save Changes"

We take data protection seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We only share your information with schools you apply to
  • We never sell your personal data to third parties
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time

Yes, you can request account deletion at any time:

  1. Go to "Profile Settings"
  2. Scroll to "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm your decision

Note: Deleting your account will remove your profile but some data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., payment records for 7 years).
